Ectoin: The natural active ingredient Ectoin® is obtained from microorganisms that live in
extreme environments (e.g. in geysers, salt lakes or in the ice of the Arctic). The Ectoin® formed in the micro-organisms protects them from the extreme environmental factors prevailing there. Ectoin® is used in cosmetics because it has caring, anti-inflammatory and protective properties. Cells are stabilised by Ectoin® and thus protected against harmful environmental influences such as UVA and UVB radiation.
Karanja oil: Karanja oil, also called Pongamia oil, is extracted from the Karanja tree, the “Indian beech”. It thrives mainly in the south of India. Due to its hydrating and soothing properties it counteracts premature skin aging. Karanja oil is also known for its ability to protect the skin from the sun. This is because it has UV ray absorbing properties and provides natural sun protection.
